I know at least one of us had an edition that ends right after chapter eleven, but I hope the rest of you have been able to get a copy of the book complete with the added notes, corrections, clarifications, apologies and addenda, a.k.a. Mistakes We Knew We Were Making.
But, as Mr. Eggers wrote: "This appendix need not to be read to understand or enjoy the book proper. It is only for: 1) the author; 2) those with extra time; 3) those with interest disproportionate to what is warranted."
Plus: there is of course plenty to discuss about the original sections of the book:
Preface, Part I, Part II
Part III, Part IV, Part V
Part VI, Part VII, Part VIII
Part IX, Part X, Part XI.
Still: since I fall in category 3, I'm glad I was able to read the added ( complaints, weaslings, pedantry, showboating )
I'd love to know how you would rate the book. I give it ten out of ten PLUS five stars:)
