I've posted a very long winded review in my journal. Instead of a 'normal' review I'm comparing two books and babble along about them. Since most of the people on my flist are also members of this community, I will not crosspost this, but simply link you to my journal.
Book 1 is Cicero's De Oratore (Rating: 7/10)
book 2 is Stephen Fry's The Ode Less Traveled (Rating 8/10)
Excerpts and extensive babbling about both authors
If you've never heard of Stephen Fry I urge you to try one of his novels. Any one of his books will convince you he is an awesome writer and I'm sure will make you want to read more. But if you don't know where to start I vote for 'Making History', a perfect novel about what could have happened if historical events had been different. Go. Read!
