Warnings: No real warnings needed.  Deals with some violence and gory scenes who can be icky for young adults, but there were ok for me.

Limbourg, 18th Century: Mathijs Stevens is a farmer's son who leaves home to become a pupil of  chirurgeon Joseph Kirchhoffs.  Little does he know but the good doctor is actually the leader of the Goat Riders (Bokkenrijders; a group who are fighting against the injustice by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, but these peope are feared).  Slowly but surely he gets more and more involved in the gang.
